2 The coverage of 'Personal accident' and 'Medical expenses' for an insured person between the age of 76 and 85 years is limited to 30% of the sum insured. For an insured child, 'Personal accident' benefit is limited to 20% of the sum insured. The follow up medical expenses include Chinese medicine, bonesetting and acupuncture fees (HK$100 per visit per day up to HK$1,000).

4 These items are subject to a HK$200 excess per claim (including third party property claim for personal liability) with the exception for baggage and personal effects (HK$300).

^ 'Children' refers to any dependent unmarried child, including any stepchild and legally adopted child of the insured, who are aged between 6 months to 16 years (inclusive).

^^ 'Self, Spouse & Children' means immediate family and is limited to the insured, his/her spouse and their children. A spearate policy is required for children aged 17 years and above.

Note (Only applicable to TravelSurance (Single Trip)):

  1. For extension period of insurance after the policy is issued, please call HSBC Insurance Service Hotline on (852) 2583 8000 or visit our branches for arrangement before the expiry of policy. The extension will be applicable to all the insured persons under the policy. The minimum additional premium is HK$30.
  2. Once the application is approved, the premium will not be refundable unless you cancel the policy upon issuance of a travel alert for the planned destination by the Government of HKSAR.

  • War and related perils
  • Suicide, self-inflicted injury, pregnancy, childbirth, insanity, alcoholism, venereal disease, AIDS, drug-taking
  • Engaging in:
    - professional sports or racing other than on foot
    - deep-water diving (40 metres or deeper)
    - motor rallies
    - sports or activities in return for remuneration
    - aviation other than as a fare-paying passenger
  • Illegal acts
  • Property more specifically insured
  • Act of nuclear, chemical, biological terrorism

China Medical Card*

If you travel to mainland China frequently, you can enjoy even more protection with the China Medical Card option under your annual MultiTrip policy. Simply present your China Medical Card with your ID document at hospital admission reception and you can receive in-patient medical treatment at over 200 designated hospitals in mainland China without the need to pay any deposit in advance! And the annual premium is only HK$300 per card. Travellers who hold China Entry Visas, which may not contain the holders' English names, should provide their Chinese names to be printed on the China Medical Cards.
