Removal of Uterine Fibroids using Minimally Invasive Surgical Procedures

During her 3 years of marriage, Ah May has never stopped wanting children but to no avail. Last month, Ah May went for gynecological check up to find out the reason behind. To her astonishment, ultra-sonic imaging indicates there is a tumor in her uterus. Luckily, it was diagnosed as a benign uterine fibroid albeit surgical removal was suggested. Ah May became indecisive: surgery may have harmful effect on her uterus that can result in sterility; yet leaving it untouched may lead to cancerous growth.

Ah May knows the two most common methods to remove uterine tumors are hysteroscopic and laparoscopic myomectomies. But Ah May has no idea what the differences between them are or which one suits her best. Besides, Ah May cares a lot about her appearance, she would not want to have any scar on her body after the operation.
